Gerthe Claims Super Chevy Awards
SAN ANTONIO, Tx. - Ayrton Gerthe, a sixteen year old sophomore at Rockdale High School, received two awards at the Super Chevy Show held at San Antonio Raceway, October 5-7, 2007. Ayrton entered and won with his '91 Chevy S-10 in the Mini Truck 2 WD Modified Category, and also won the Jeg's "Young Star" Award. This award is presented to a car show participant under the age of twenty-five who displays an entry that is owned and modified/maintained by them, and is an effort to encourage them to continue to be involved in the automotive industry.
